SCHOOL SUPPLIES AND VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
For the past two years, NOVA has been involved with the Martin Luther King Jr. Day of Service (Operation School Supply). Over 500 students, faculty and staff from each campus have been involved in these activities. This year, on Sept. 11th from Noon-3:00pm, at the Alexandria Campus, students, faculty, staff and community members will be assembling school supply kits for needed school children in Iraq, Afghanistan and Haiti. In partnership with Operation International Children (OIC), these school supply kits will be personally delivered to the children by our US troops.
To gear up for 9/11 National Day of Service, several campuses will be participating in blood drives as well as "Act of Kindness” activities during the week prior to 9/11. View the flyer for complete details.
