Update that Resume! Employers visiting Annandale's Career and Transfer Resource Center.

Several employers will be visiting the Annandale Career & Transfer Resources & Development Center in September. This is the perfect opportunity to revise your resume! Here are a few quick pointers that could help make your resume one a potential employer remembers!

 Include a cover letter addressing the specific position you are applying for. This is your chance to highlight your experience and demonstrate how it relates to the position. Taking the time to write a cover letter unique to the position shows not only that you have read and understood what the position requires, but also shows you are genuinely interested in the job. This is your chance to set yourself apart from other candidates!

Make sure your resume is free of all spelling and grammar errors! Use spell check and have a friend or colleague take a second glance at it to catch anything you might be overlooking. Making adjustments to font and formatting can also make your resume easier for potential employers to read and in turn make it easier for them to identify the experience and skills you have that are relevant to the position.
