Are you enrolled in an ELI course for the Spring 2012 semester? Is this your first ELI course? A great place to start is with an ELI Orientation webinar.
The Orientation webinar is a live, one hour session geared towards students enrolled in ELI courses. The Orientation webinar will focus on getting started in your course, navigating Blackboard, and identifying tips for success, financial aid resources, and student support services. There is an opportunity at the end to ask any quesitons you might have before you get started.
Feel free to sign up now, for a Spring Orientation webinar. You will receive an email with more information about the Orientation a week before the webinar.
You may also want to consider reviewing ELI’s Orientation section. There are five sections with post tests at the end of each one. There is also a sample Blackboard class at the end of the Orientation section.
In addition to the Orientation webinars, there is an “Is Distance Learning for me?” webinar scheduled for December 7. This is a great webinar for prospective students. Topics include what is distance learning, technical requirements, characteristics of a successful distance learning student, courses offered, course length and formats, and the registration process. There is also time at the end for any questions you might have about getting started. In addition to the live webinar, there is a recording and handouts included here.
