Juggling Academic Expectations

We have all heard the advice: Live each day in the moment. It is great advice, but only in context. The reality is we have to anticipate tomorrow. A journey of a thousand miles begins with a sing step. Yet to start that journey we must create a plan of action, not just pace in circles.

We must organize and prioritize our days with regard to our future. Before your day begins, think of the 24 hours ahead of you. What’s important, what can wait? What are the “must do’s” and what are the “want to” do’s? Consciously or unconsciously we set priorities, so ask yourself before you get out of bed, “How am I going to juggle my academic expectations and the rest of my responsibilities?”
