Did you know that NOVA sponsors a trip to meet Virginia
State Legislators?
Every January, the college organizes delegations from NOVA to
visit the state capitol in Richmond and meet with legislators from each campus’
service district. They discuss what the general assembly has done to support
two-year colleges and, specifically NOVA. Students have the opportunity to
share personal experiences and how NOVA has helped them with their educational
and career goals. In addition, the delegations were formally recognized on the
General Assembly floor as special visitors.
