NOVA’s First Annual National Day of Service was held on Monday, January 18. People across the country and abroad devoted their day to honor the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. by participating in volunteer activities to strengthen their communities and bridge social and cultural barriers.
At NOVA, approximately 200 students, faculty, and staff (including ELI!) took the day to help those in need. Over 300 school supply kits were put together to be sent to troops in Iraq and Afghanistan to distribute to school children in need. Watch this video to see the good work of those that volunteered in action!
