Fourth of July Events

If you are in search of Fourth of July activities, there are a variety of events taking place next week in the Virginia area, including the following:

In the Fairfax Historic District, from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., there will be a community gathering for a parade, followed by “Fireman’s Day”, complete with a firefighter competition, refreshments, games and a fireworks presentation.

Great Falls will be having a parade that goes from the Village Green to the Safeway; there will be an all day celebration including a 5K run beginning at 7:30 a.m. and a Blood Drive, along with a Baby Parade that starts at 8:30 a.m.   There will be an array of games in the evening and a fireworks presentation.

Leesburg will feature a parade that starts at Ida Lee Park that extends from King Street to Fairfax Street.  A patriotic celebration will take place in downtown Leesburg.

The city of Arlington and DC will also be featuring a variety of parades and Fourth of July events.
