Study Up- A Convenient, Electronic Way to Organize Your Notes

Looking for new ways to organize your study notes?  Look no further!  Study Up is a free website that provides a structured, easy to follow format for you to upload your study notes.  It formats the notes by subject, class and topic and even gives you the option of inviting classmates to join so that you can communicate about important class concepts and information and share ideas.  You may or may not want to use the latter feature; either way, the site provides a useful way to organize your notes electronically and may be especially helpful, if you tend to dig around through papers looking for the notes you took yesterday on your history homework!   You can create a log in or sign in through Facebook.

Once your notes are uploaded, you will see a list displayed of your notes by subject area so they are easy to access when you need to edit them.  To get a comprehensive view of the website’s features, there is a demonstration video on the site so that you can get a general idea of how it works.  One thing to note is that you do not need to add all of the information in the profile fields such as a picture.  You mainly need your name, school and e-mail address.

All in all, this is a great resource to use as a long term test preparation tool.  By uploading and organizing your notes this way, you can compare the topic areas with what is listed in your study guide as it gets closer to your exam and create an organized review.  It also helps with eliminating unnecessary shuffling of papers to find notes on that concept you had created several weeks ago.  In helping you to create categories on various concepts, you can organize your notes by subject area within the course content.  This will in turn help you in organizing your thoughts when you prepare to study!
