If you are a history buff or just looking for
a weekend event, consider the Civil War
Encampment Weekend at Sully Historic Site.
Revisit the 1800’s as Union and Confederate troops re-enact Civil War
daily life and demonstrate the varied work of the troops. Experience skirmishes each day that include
infantry, artillery and cavalry. You can also visit the weekend encampment and
discover a soldier’s lifestyle during this time in American history.
Live music as well as a fashion show will be included in the weekend events.
The event is located at Sully Historic Site and runs
Saturday (Aug. 18)-10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday (Aug. 19)-10 a.m. to 3 p.m. A house
tour includes artifacts rarely on exhibit belonging to the Haight family (mid-19th
